The Bucharest subsidiary of "Pro-Vita Association for born and unborn" (click here for a detailed presentation) has been established in 2005. It shares the same principles and objectives as the main organization. Its main means of action are:

1. Humanitarian and charity activities. One of the targets of our activity is to attract sponsorships/protections for the financial and logistic support of the centres of assistance of the Parent-Association. Also we operate a humanitarian institution of our own, in Valea Parului village (100 km from Bucharest).

2. Educational / informational activities. Pro-vita intends to raise, among the public opinion, the degree of awareness of humanity and of the right to life of the unborn child, as well as of other topics related to the protection of life values, by organizing training courses, seminars, debates, public manifestations etc. Our main information campaign, "I want to know", is specially designed for adolescents/pupils and performed in schools and on the streets.

3. Psychological counseling. Pro-vita provides psychological counseling for pregnancy crisis as well as post-abortion counseling, for both individuals and couples.

4. Lobby / relations with public authorities. For Pro-Vita, the politics has, first of all, a vocation of serving the public interest and the values of society. We wish for the authentic politics to advance, from a Christian perspective on human and society, the dignity of the person and the importance of some universal values such as freedom, solidarity and justice. This is the reason for which Pro-vita supervises the activity of the Parliament and of the central public authorities and it is in contact with them in order to influence the decision factors with a view to propose, support and apply or reject legislative initiatives, in accordance with the scope of the Association. Since 2008, the Subsidiary is accredited for the Chamber of Deputies. This activity is called lobby.

5. Actions in courts of law. Pro-vita can state and formulate actions, demands, petitions and necessary defences in front of competent courts, according to the principles promoted by the Association.

6. Doctors for life. Medical prolife entity affiliated to the Association.
